Meet a woman who failed to take the UPSC exam on her first attempt and later took an IES exam with Air 3, knowing how the backup plan turned her setback into a success story
Aahana Srishti stressed the importance of Plan B, aspiring Plan B for civil servants.
Delhi-based economist Aahana Srishti recently passed the UPSC headlines to secure a 3rd overall ranking in India in the highly competitive Indian Economic Services (IES) exam. In the highly competitive Indian Economic Services (IES) exam held in 2024.
“Clearing the Economic Services Agency of India (2024), Ranking 3 of All India is indeed beyond my dreams.” At first, she took the exam just to test her knowledge of the issue. She told herself that if she didn’t pass, she would try again – if it still didn’t work, she would consider earning her Ph.D.
She stressed the importance of choosing choice, saying, “Plan B is what makes this exam less heavy and I suggest to everyone (totally acceptable or leave it).
Aahana attributes her success to her mother, close friends, and what she calls “divine intervention.” She also shared a quote from her life: “God helps those who help themselves.”
In her post, she included moments from UPSC interviews and her first day of training at Arun Jaitley National Financial Management (AJNIFM).
