‘Motivation and unfounded’: India strongly rejects Pakistan’s remarks on the WAQF amendment

India firmly dismissed Pakistan’s comments on the recently enacted WAQF amendment, calling it “motivation and unfounded”. Foreign Ministry official spokesman Randhir Jaiswal responded to media questions, saying that Pakistan has no position to intervene purely within India.
“We strongly reject Pakistan’s motivation and unfounded comments on the WAQF Amendment Act enacted by the Indian Parliament. Pakistan has no base to comment on issues within India,” Jasval said in a strongly worded statement.
He further urged Pakistan to introspectively take its record on minority rights. He added: “Pakistan is better off looking at its own bad record when protecting the rights of ethnic minorities, rather than preaching to others.”
And more.
