one Tension confrontation between the Ministry of Finance and the opposition bench awaits parliament on Wednesday (2 April 2025) as both Lok Sabha will be discussed and adopted in the WAQF (Amendment) bill.

The National Development Including Union (Indian) Political Parties in India held a meeting of all floor leaders on Tuesday (1 April 2025) to develop a joint strategy on the bill. The BJP, Congress and its allies all sent whips to their respective MPs to attend Parliament during the debate on the bill.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said the Lok Sabha Business Advisory Committee (BAC), chaired by Speaker Om Birla, including leaders from all major political parties, agreed in the eight-hour debate that could be extended after accepting awareness of the house.
Rajya Sabha will discuss immigration and foreign bills of 2025. The bill was passed by Lok Sabha on March 27, 2025.
