Shruti Haasan debuted with Rajnikanth in the coolie of Lokesh Kanagaraj and arrived at the theater on August 14. The film also features Stalwarts Nagarjuna and Sathyaraj, excited about the star-studded lineup and its promised new collaboration.
Reflecting on working with Rajnikanth, Shruti said: “Now I have other views, I hear the story of Rajni Sir. I have heard a voice that has been around for about 30 years and now I hear other views. So a lot of people are very close to the family and think we are really close, but we are really happy that I’m already interacting and I think a life of yours. Don’t know who this person is to me.”
He once told me, “Thank God for your father, otherwise I might be really in pain. Your father passed by once and said what you were doing, I said I wanted to jump, and he said you shouldn’t jump without a mattress. He went to buy a mattress and told me how to jump, so I’ve always thanked Kamal.”
With the buzz caused by Coolie, Shruti also made headlines in the international film Eyes, where she played the lead role. The film marks her debut on the global stage and is scheduled to be released later this year.
