Myanmar is considered to be the steering wheel for Bimstec’s success, with its main purpose being to promote connectivity among member states. Connect all key projects of member states through Myanmar, where local governments are almost out of control in different parts of the country.
The massive earthquake provides Myanmar with the opportunity to interact with the global society as it seeks humanitarian assistance to recover from the earthquake.
More than 3,000 people died and nearly 5,000 were injured in the Myanmar earthquake, and more than 370 people are still missing nationwide.
