Speeding car hits a woman, four children are fighting in brother, driver abscond

On May 8, a speeding car crashed into a 55-year-old woman and four children and ran into a speeding car outside a house in Kodak, Rajasthan, causing a tragic incident. The shocking accident was captured on CCTV footage, which showed the car dragging the victim nearly 10 feet. The woman was identified as Indra Bai, while children aged between 7 and 11 were seriously injured.
The incident occurred around 9 p.m. when Indra Bai sat outside the house in Ajay Ahuja Nagar. Her grandson, Vivaan, 7, and her niece, Yashika, 11, were playing nearby with two other children (8-year-old Vaishali) and her cousin, Anisha, 10. When the children were riding bicycles and a high-speed car attacked them, serious injuries to all victims were caused.
In CCTV footage, Chirag Jangid was seen driving a car that was nearly 10 feet before finally stopping. Local residents rushed to the scene and were taken to a private hospital near Vigyan Nagar. Indra Bai suffered a serious head injury and was undergoing surgery, while Yashika had five hours of surgery because of injuries to her head and hands. Vivaan’s hands, nose and mouth were injured. Vaishali had a fractured arm and back injury, and an injury to her arms and legs.
The case has been registered against driver Chirag Jangid after complaints filed by the principal complainant Hemant Rathore and Bunty Rathore and Manoj Mehra. However, Jangid is currently absconding and the police are actively looking for him.
The incident shocked the community and authorities were taking steps to ensure drivers were brought to justice.
