Chandrashekar appointed as Telangana's new CIC

Hyderabad: The Telangana government appointed Dr. G. Chandrashekar Reddy as the 2005 National Chief Information Commissioner for the 2005 Right to Information Act. Under Article 16 of RTI (amended in 2019), it begins with Article 16 of his office, starting from the date of his inauguration, or until he was 65 years old, or before he was 65 years old, or before he was 65 years old.
Dr. Reddy is the Indian Forest Service Officer in 1991 and currently serves as Chief Minister, Chief Chief Conservator, Hoff (HOFF), Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Forest Forests. He also received his Master of Management and Public Policy from IIM Bangalore and Syracuse University and his PhD in Environmental Science from Kakatia University.
Dr. Reddy has 34 years of experience in natural resource management, leading initiatives in forest and wildlife management; livelihoods based on watershed; drought and flood mitigation; urban forestry; high-density planting models; environmentally friendly coal mining; biodiesel plantation; and biodiversity conservation. He has directed DFID, JICA and the World Bank – Course Coordinator for the IFS and Civil Service Trainee Foundation courses under the MCR HRD Institute under the School of Management of the National School of Management of Mussoorie. As the founding dean of the Telangana Forest Academy and Institute, he led the institution for five years.
Recently, Dr. Reddy received a Special Lifetime Achievement Award from Raj Bhavan of Telangana for his environmental efforts, currently focusing on ecotourism and identifying eucalyptus alternatives to commercial plants in the state.
