Sri Lankan police search flight from Chennai seeks Indian terror suspect

A police spokesman said Sri Lankan police searched the flight that arrived from Chennai on Saturday, which could be boarded by suspects linked to the Pahargaum terrorist attack.
The search was conducted in coordination with local authorities in an alert from the Chennai Regional Control Centre, a suspect believed to have been asked to join in India, the statement said. It added that the aircraft was thoroughly inspected and further operations were cleared.
Terrorists killed 26 people, mainly tourists, in Jamu and Pahalgam in Kashmir on April 22. Indian authorities have identified five terrorists, including three Pakistani nationals behind the Pahargam massacre. Prime Minister Narendra Modi vowed on April 24 to punish the terrorists behind the Pahargam terrorist attacks and part of a conspiracy beyond their imagination, asserting that the country's enemies are targeting not only futile tourists, but also daring to attack India's souls.
According to government sources, Modi claimed at a high-level meeting with the top defense brass troop on April 29 that the armed forces have “complete freedom of movement” to determine the pattern, target and timing of India's terrorist attacks.
