Srinagar: The National Bureau of Investigation (NIA) formally accused three Srinagar youths on Saturday about a deadly grenade attack on November 3 in the city’s busy flea market.
A 45-year-old woman, Abida Zubair – a resident of the bandipore district of the valley was killed, and more than a dozen civilians injured in the grenade explosion.

The NIA found during the investigation that the three-person plan, accomplice and execute the grenade attack with the aim of causing panic and terror in the area, the agency said in a statement. Police Inspector General (Kashmir Range) VK Birdi held a press conference here on November 9, and according to preliminary investigation, three people with the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET) and “they attacked at the request of the administrator based on Pakistan” have been arrested from Ikhrajar ikhraj pora in Srinagar. Their target was CRPF's “mobile bunker”, but the grenades thrown at it fell and exploded on the road, leaving shoppers and suppliers injured.
