Srivaru gave it to his beloved sister

Nellol:TTD Chairman Br Naidu, along with EO J. Syamala Rao, introduced the traditional sare to Sri Tataiahgunta Gangamma of Tirupati on Saturday night.

Gangamma Jatara happens to be a famous folk music festival for the pilgrim Tirupati, which begins on May 6 and will last until May 13.

Initially, special prayers were offered to Sri Pundarikavalli Ammavaru of Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple in Tirupati, followed by a colorful parade in a grand feast and high program.

TTD Chairman Br Naidu said in his speech to the media this time that Gangamma is considered the sister of Sri Venkateswara Swamy, and the devotees offered worship to the folk goddess with the greatest dedication.

He said: “The festival will be held in a unique way to reflect the customs and lifestyles of Tirupati and the people in the surrounding areas.

TTD EO Syamala Rao said in this speech that he was used to providing stimulation to the goddess on the fourth day of the festival of Chaitra month. He said arrangements have been made for Gangamma Jatara, with a cost of Rs 6 million, and various development work, costing Rs 350 crore, which will begin soon.

EO said devotees from the areas around Tirupati and Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu states visit each year during Gangamma Jatara.

Local MLA A. Srinivasulu, TTD Board Member G. Bhanu Prakash Reddy, Shantha Ram, Eos Shanthi Deputy, Lokanadham, Vgo Sadalakshmi, Aeo Muni Muni Krishna Reddy and others participated.
