SSC Reattempt students' cram lessons: Government. Urge to provide options for teachers

B. Gopi Murthy, a member of the Legislative Council (MLC) of the Progressive Democratic Front (PDF), said teachers were harassed in the name of remedial classes.
The SSC results were released on April 23, 2025, with a percentage of 81.14, the MLC said in a statement. The remaining 18.86% of students are preparing to write supplementary exams. He said the department has issued instructions to hold mandatory remediation courses for these students, unfairly denying the summer vacation against teachers.
He noted that the service rules implemented for teachers include summer vacations, and he called on school education director Vijay Rama Raju to allow teachers to use the summer vacation.
Leaders of the Andhra Pradesh Teachers Federation (APTF) have also urged the school education department to allow teachers to participate in optional tutoring courses or award bonuses (ELs) for classes during the summer vacation.
Federal President G. hridaya Raju and Secretary-General S. Chiranjeevi pointed out that the 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. shifts will include noon time every day. They said that as the Ministry of Education has announced summer vacations from April 24 to June 11, most teachers have gone to their hometowns or have vacations with their families.
However, they said some teachers volunteered to take morning remedial classes. They also distributed manuals printed by the State Council on Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and forwarded via whatsapp question and answer material.
They said officials should attend the holiday (EL) according to the rules for teachers' optional or awarded bonuses.
