Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump shared a three-hour podcast with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his social media platform Monday morning (Indian era) on his social media platform. During the conversation, Prime Minister Modi talked about his friendship with Trump, emphasizing their mutual trust and commitment to prioritizing their respective national interests.

He praised Trump for his “humility” and noted that the former U.S. president seemed more prepared during his second term than his first term. Prime Minister Modi praised Trump for his firm dedication to the United States, and emphasized his resilience even after recent attempts to assassinate. Prime Minister Modi said: “Even if he was shot, he was still firmly committed to the United States. His life was for his country. It shows his American first spirit, just like I believe in the country first – Bharat first.”

He recalled Trump’s personal gesture at the 2019 “Howdy Modi” event, and he chose to sit among the audience, calling it a testament to his humility. Prime Minister Modi further expressed his admiration for Trump’s vision and clear roadmap. Reflecting on his visit to the White House, the Prime Minister pointed out how Trump guided him to visit the president’s residence by personally. Although he hasn’t met in person for many years, he stressed that their communication and trust are still strong.

When asked about Trump’s past comments that Prime Minister Modi was a better negotiator, the Prime Minister attributed it to the kindness and humility of the U.S. president. “There is a clear roadmap in his mind, well-defined, and each step is designed to lead him towards his goal,” he said, adding that his own approach to negotiations is always driven by Indian interests.

Pm Modi shifted the discussion, and remembered his long-term connection with Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, which dates back to his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat. He described their recent meeting as passion and family, referring to Musk’s enthusiasm for Doge (Ministry of Government Efficiency).

PM Modi highlighted the government’s governance reforms, which achieved similarities between Musk’s principles of efficiency and transparency and government efforts.
