Starmer slams “dead” Conservatives in PMQS clash with Badenoch

Keir Starmer branded the Conservative Party’s “Dead Party Walk” in anger when he clashed with PMQS’s Kemi Badenoch.
The Prime Minister continued to attack after conservative leaders said Labor’s policies were hurting the economy.
Badennock said data showed unemployment has risen since Starmer’s premiership showed.
She said that was partly due to Prime Minister Rachel Reeves’ decision to increase employers’ national insurance rates, which she described as “employment tax.”
“The Prime Minister needs to listen to the business – without employment, you cannot have the right to employment,” she said.
“Labor always forgets that there is no government creating growth, but businesses creating growth, businesses are closing, and they are blaming him and his prime minister.
“There are 100,000 jobs. Guesthouses, charities, nurseries – they face bills for employment taxes they can’t afford. Even the union is saying that workers are putting workers on Scrapheap, and all of this makes hiring more expensive before his unemployment bill.
“When did he admit that Labour is not working?”
But Starmer hit back: “She should listen to business. They agree with our trade deal. India deal – a wonderful deal. Cut car tariffs to 10%. Whiskey and gin, tariffs were cut in half. Economy paid £4.8 billion.
“She said what she wanted to do with our Indian deal? She wanted to tear it apart. The US deal saved thousands of jobs. What she wanted to do? She wanted to tear it apart.
“The EU deal is good for our economy. She won’t even wait to see anything. She said ridiculously that she was going to tear it up.
“Last week, she was even lowered from fake news accusing the Indian government. No wonder she was as bad as a business secretary to reveal.
“Their project is over and they are forgotten. They are a dead party.”
