Stephen Fleming

CSK coach Stephen Fleming, despite being crucial, explored other bowling options. He acknowledged the team’s struggles in narrow defeats and emphasized the growth of young players.

Chennai Super Kings head coach Stephen Fleming leaked 33 runs in Game 19 but still supported Pacers Khaleel Ahmed but said they will explore more options in the Indian Premier League.

Although the impressive Anshul Kamboj (3-0-25-0) captain CSK, MS Dhoni, turned to Ahmed for the rest of the game, his left arm quickly withered under the attack of Romario Shepherd.

“Carlisle has done a great job for us this season, so there is no reason for MS to change that. Kamboj is developing well into his role. He has the ability to do death (beyond bowling). He will be an option, but there is no reason to replace Khaleel with khaleel.”

Until Shepherd chased him, Ahmed actually had the highest number of penalty shots in the 110 IPL, three more than Mohammed Siraj.

Fleming then touched on the lack of big runs, scoring 10 over 214 games in the CSK innings, while his team ended up reaching five times with 211, second only to two.

“If there was a big ball over there, we would win the championship, but they played very well. We knew there would be a steep climb in the end, but we kept it pretty good.

“Then, when it reaches the end of the business, there is only one or two hits.
