Stress makes us unattractive

It’s time to introduce yoga and deep breathing exercises to your daily beauty therapy. A new study finds that stress can make you ugly and unhealthy.
Too much pressure? You may start to appear unattractive!
A study conducted by British behavioral ecologist Dr. Fhionna Moore found that high levels of the hormone cortisol are produced when we feel stressed, making us look ugly and healthier. It increases the amount of glucose in the body while also inhibiting muscle and bone growth.
“We believe the link between low stress levels in men and high attractiveness in women is because the ability to cope with stress shows that the future suitability of partners and their ability to deliver “good genes” indicate a strong genetic makeup,” Dr. Fhionna said in an interview with the Daily Mail.
As part of the study, Dr. Moore measured cortisol levels from saliva samples and took pictures of the participants’ faces. “We found that men and women with high cortisol levels in saliva were rated as more attractive and healthy compared to men with lower cortisol levels… Although we haven’t identified specific tips for facial stress, it seems to boil down to “healthy” how someone looks.”
