Students should prevent attempts to impose Hindi on Tamil Nadu: Udhayanidhi

Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin spoke at the Government Academy of Arts in Chennai on Sunday.

Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Sunday urged the student community to remain vigilant in response to an attempt to “push Hindi into Tamil Nadu”.

He reviewed the 1965 student participation in anti-Hindi incitement, and he argued that it was the student community that blocked the implementation of Hindi in Tamil Nadu.

“Tamil is the foundation of Tamil Nadu. They are trying to pose a threat to the Tamils in various ways. They are proposing trilingual language policies. They introduce Neet. They are proposing various ways to push Hindi to Tamil Nadu.”

He said that while many people may make arguments that may sound like this, students should be wary of such attempts. “The Tamil people in Tamil Nadu are simply because students get up during the anti-Hindi language in 1965. It is the protests of the students that prevented the Hindi language from being imposed by Tamil Nadu. It is your seniors protest that protects Tamil and culture,” Mr Udhayanidhi said. ”

Leaders such as social reformer Periyar Ev Ramasamy and former chief ministers CN Annadurai and M. Karunanidhi, etc., do not want to see students participate in the protests because it will affect their research, Mr Udhayanidhi Stalin said, “But today, the coalition government poses challenges in education policy and national education policy.

He called on students to understand the “conspiracy”, saying: “If you understand this correctly, our enemies will never win.”
