Police said at least 16 Maoists were killed and two security personnel were injured during an encounter in Sukma district in Chhattisgarh on Saturday (29 March 2025).
A joint team of security personnel is operating against Muster in an anti-Must hours, an official said.
He said personnel from the Regional Reserve Guards (DRG) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were involved in the inputs of Maoists in the Kolapal area on Friday night.
“So far, 16 Naxal bodies have been recovered from the meeting site. The operation is still underway,” the official said.
He added that two security personnel were slightly injured during the operation.
