Sunny Deol has done many action scenes in his long career, but some take risks. Director Guddu Dhanoa produced films like Ziddi, Salaakhen and Jaal, and recently shared the incident of Jaal (2003), in which Sunny Deol and Amrish Puri were both injured in dangerous scenes.
Danoah revealed that the accident occurred during a motorcycle stunt in Manali. In an interview with Friday’s conversation, he recalled the incident and shared what went wrong during the shooting, saying: “We filmed the sequence of the motorcycle in Manali. To shoot a scene like this, we did a repair machine on the motorcycle so that the actor could focus on his conversation without having to ride a bike. When on the scene, the motorcycle was in trouble in this range because it was certain, because it was the distance of the family.
The impact was very serious, and Dhanoa quickly ran to check on the actors. He first asked Sunny if he was okay, and Sunny replied, “I’m fine. Please check Amrish Ji.” When Dhanoa arrived at Amrish Puri, he found him lying on the ground with serious eye injuries. Without wasting time, he took him to an Army hospital in Manali for emergency treatment.
Dhanoa talked about his deep bond with Amrish Puri, who said the veteran actor has been his mentor since his first film. He thinks he is like his father. After the accident, Dhanoa was afraid to face him because Puri’s eyes were covered with bandages. He said: “Since my first film as a director, I have had a relationship with Amrish Ji. We are more like father and son. I didn’t have the courage to see him after that accident. His eyes were bandaged. When I went to him, I held his hand. I held his hand. Once I held his hand, he knew me and said me, guddu, everything would be.”
Despite all the hard work and risks involved, Jair It was a bad performance at the box office which disappointed Dhanoa. However, he still remembers the film as the dedication of actors like Sunshine Dier and Amrish Puri who gave everyone the entertainment audience.
