Supreme Court condemns Pahalgam terrorist attacks, observes victims’ silence

The Supreme Court on Wednesday expressed its pain and strongly condemned the outrageous terrorist attack targeting tourists from Pahalgam in Jamu & Kashmir. In a full court meeting held Wednesday morning, the Supreme Court unanimously adopted a resolution condemning the act of terror, the Supreme Court said in a statement.
“This unconscious violence shakes the conscience of all people and is a clear reminder of the cruelty and inhumanity of terrorism,” it said. The injured recovery soon stood with the victims and their families. ”
The statement said that the attack on tourists was simply enjoying the natural beauty of Kashmir in India’s “crowned jewelry” and was undoubtedly an offense to human values and the values of life, and the court strongly condemned this. To honor the victim’s memories and to show solidarity with the family, Supreme Court judges, advocates, court staff and all others present, except their registry, muted at around 2 p.m. when the court meets in a post-lunch meeting.
The Apex Court Registration Office also issued a notice saying that at about 2 p.m., judges, lawyers, staff and others in the court and the registry will observe the silence period. In a relevant Solidarity Act, lawyers and more than 300 members of the Supreme Court Bar Association unite on the lawn of the top court to unite with the victims of the terrorist attack.
The SCBA explicitly condemned the savage and cowardly terrorist attacks on innocent tourists in the peaceful areas of Pahargam. “We mourn the death of miserable lives and express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims. Our thoughts and prayers are the wounded and we hope they will recover quickly. These condemnable violence directly attacks the value of human beings. Innocent civilians against harmless civilians of humanity, innocent civilians are an inevitable act of barbarians.”
Even the Supreme Court advocated in the Records Association to condemn the attack. “The association is unwavering with the people of Jamu and Kashmir, which is an integral part of our country and the country as a whole.” On the other hand, the statement of the Delhi High Court Association condemned the heinous act of “challenge, integrity and sovereignty” in the country.
Terrorists attacked tourist sites on Tuesday in Pahalgam, southern Kashmir, killing at least 26 people, mainly tourists, and injuring several others. The deceased included two foreigners from the UAE and Nepal as well as two locals.
