Supreme Court Listen to Ashoka University professor’s request for arrest on May 21

Supreme Court Justice Surya Kant and N. Kotiswar Singh’s Supreme Court plan to file in a criminal writ petition Wednesday (May 20, 2025) by Ali Khan Mahmudabad, associate professor of political science at Ashoka University, who arrested Ashoka University for its social media for its arrest at the Sindotoor Compation Sindooer Compation Signoer Complational.
His application for temporary bail is marked with a petition.

On Monday (May 19, 2025), senior defense attorney Kapil Sibal and advocate Lzafeer Ahmad mentioned the early listing of the case before Chief Justice of India BR Gavai.
Mr Sibar asked the court to have a plea to the Academician in advance, challenging the criminal proceedings against him and his subsequent arrest by Haryana police. Sibar urged the Chief Justice to urge: “He was arrested for his patriotic statement.
Chief Justice Gavai said the case will be listed on the appropriate bench the next day or later. However, it is not listed on Tuesday (May 20, 2025). A list of supplementary reasons released on Wednesday (May 21, 2025) on Tuesday (May 20, 2025), but is shown on Justice Kant’s bench.
Mr Khan’s lawyer introduced to the media about his arrest on allegations that endanger the country’s sovereignty and integrity and promoted hatred among different groups under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

They insisted that the allegations against Mr Khan were “understood” and that many political leaders and retired officers made similar comments on social media.
Haryana police said Mr Khan was arrested based on the FIR complained by Renu Bhatia, chairman of the Haryana Women’s Commission.
Jathedi Sarpanch and BJP Yuva Morcha Secretary-General Yogesh Jathedi proposed a second FIR to Mr. Khan on 17 May.
