Called Penthouse 80, the residence covers four floors (80 to 83rd floors) at 111 West 57th Street, a 1,428-foot building located in the famous Billionaire Row. The Steinway Tower has a height-to-width ratio of 24:1, and has the thinnest skyscraper title on Earth.
The penthouse covers 11,480 square feet and offers stunning views of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline. The proposed layout was designed by Studio Sofield and includes five bedrooms, six bathrooms and more than 600 square feet of patio space.
The first floor features a grand entrance and a south-facing kitchen that opens to a private terrace. The second floor consists of four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and a lounge and wet bar. The third level is fully dedicated to the 2,800 square foot master suite with a stunning agate-wearing bathroom. The highest level, known as the “Crown Suite”, was designed for entertaining with a bar, a private screening room, a service kitchen and another terrace.
Although the penthouse is empty, the $110 million price includes a full building with the option of custom redesigning.
Nikki Field, chief agent of Sotheby’s International Real Estate, said the market conditions of the listing have improved. Since taking over sales in 2024, her team has rebranded and repositioned the building, resulting in $187 million in contracts, including the most recent $56 million Penthouse 72 contract.
Field also handles Jeff Bezos’ loft purchases, and she says she is now looking for a “Jeff Bezos 2.0” buyer for the Penthouse 80.
