Surekha commands the temple process to digitize

Hyderabad:Donation Minister Konda Surekha has directed officials to digitize all procedures in all temples to increase transparency in daily operations, including managing donations, finance and devotional services. This move is intended to bring greater accountability and efficiency to managing temple resources and activities.

During a review meeting with senior donation officials, the minister assessed progress ongoing digitalization and asked about the status of temples where digital systems have not yet been adopted. She directed officials to speed up the process and ensure that even remote temples were brought under the digital framework.

The conference focused on fast tracking of temples across the state to increase transparency, improve service for devotees and simplify temple management. Konda Surekha directed the department to develop detailed action plans with clear timetables and defined responsibilities. She stressed the importance of training temple staff and priests in the use of digital systems to ensure a smooth and effective transition.

Surekha also sought a detailed report on temple land holdings and directed officials to ensure proper protection, utilization and recording of temple property. She stressed the need to resolve court cases related to temple land and assets at the earliest, and she asked the department’s legal department to take proactive steps and suggested a special meeting soon to discuss legal strategies.

Sailaja Ramaiyer, Chief Secretary of the Endowment Foundation, Commissioner Sridhar, other Commissioner Krishnaveni and other senior officials attended the meeting.
