Nellol: In a major development, police have issued a surveillance notice against YSRC senior leader and former minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy, preventing him from leaving the country.
As part of the move, authorities have alerted all airports and harbours across the country.
The High Court rejected Kakani’s expected bail petition on Wednesday. Despite three notices, the former minister failed to question. He has been absconding for the past 12 days.
Nellore SP Krishnakant formed six special police teams to track Kakani’s whereabouts. Intensive search operations are being conducted in key cities including Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai.
