SVIMS Enhanced Health Services: TTD Chairman

Nellol: Tirumala Tirupati Dvastanams (TTD) Chairman BR NAIDU announced that enhanced medical services will be provided soon at the Super Specialty Hospital of the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) in Tirumala.

Speaking in the media after attending the SVIMS Management Council meeting, the TTD Chairman said that the Expert Committee, led by former TTD Executive Officer IV Subba Rao, submitted a comprehensive report covering infrastructure, medical staff, equipment, engineering engineering and funding.

The TTD committee will review and amend it according to the guidance of the state government.

TTD Executive J. Syamala Rao stressed that TTD will provide Rs 60 crore annual support to SVIMS, as well as other aids over Rs 1,000 crore through various trusts. SVIMS mainly serves poor patients, performs 18,000 surgeries and treats 450,000 outpatients and 47,000 inpatients each year.

Now, the focus is on developing oncology and pediatric care and the establishment of new 391 viral cancers and five OTs. Naidu also visited patients and examination facilities in person.

Along with TTD officials and committee members, key stakeholders including Special CS (Health) MT Krishnababu and TTD Board member Susteitra Ella actually actually joined the meeting.
