Shakti Dubey surpassed UPSC 2024 without a coach, father attributed to academic discipline, determination

“After graduation, she pursued her master’s degree from the University of Banaras India (BHU), where she also took the master’s degree. Although we initially sent her to coach in Delhi, the Covid-19-19 pandemic forced her to return home and she continued to prepare alone,” he said.
Shakti’s mother, Prema Devi, said the news about her daughter’s exams was overwhelming. “I couldn’t believe it at the beginning. It was only possible by God’s grace,” she said, adding that Shakti is currently in Delhi and will be home soon.
According to UPSC, Shakti appeared on the exam with political science and international relations as her optional subjects. She holds a Bachelor of Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Allahabad.
Harshita Goyal and Dongre Archite Parag finished second and third in this year’s exams, the committee announced Tuesday. The Civil Service Examination is held annually in three phases, namely, preliminary, main course and interviews – recruiting Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Diplomatic Services (IFS), Indian Police Services (IPS) and other central service personnel. The preliminary examination for 2024 was held on June 16 last year, applying for 9,92,599 candidates, and 5,83,213 were included. In September 2024, a total of 14,627 candidates were eligible for the written (main) examination.
Of these, 2,845 people participated in the personality test conducted between January 7 and April 17 this year.
In total, the UPSC recommended that 1,009 candidates (725 men and 284 women) be appointed to various services.
