Tahawwur Rana was sent to 18 days of NIA custody; questioning his plot behind the attack on Mumbai on 26/11

The court sent Rana to 18-day NIA custody on Friday, after which he was brought to the NIA headquarters from the Patiala House Courts complex, a heavy convoy of Delhi Police’s Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) and other security personnel.
Lana will be kept in a highly secure cell within the headquarters of the CGO complex’s counter-terrorism agency, officials said.
Shortly after the court order, a statement issued by the investigative agency said: “Rana will be in NIA detention for 18 days, during which the agency will ask him in detail to reveal the complete conspiracy behind the deadly 2008 attack in 2008, with a total of 166 people killed and more than 238 injured.”
It said that during a day of fast-paced development related to Rana extradition, the NIA was detained in an order from the New Delhi Special Court.
After years of continuous efforts, Nia introduced Rana from the United States and suspended his failed extradition from the United States in the final effort of the terrorist mastermind. Rana was taken to New Delhi on Thursday night, accompanied by the NSG and NIA teams, and was composed of a special plane from Los Angeles. The extradition finally came after Rana’s various lawsuits and appeals, including an emergency application from the U.S. Supreme Court.
The statement said that with the coordinated efforts of the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Interior, as well as relevant U.S. authorities, the surrender warrant for the wanted terrorists was finally secured and extradition was conducted.
