“Tamannaah has the courage to play all kinds of roles,” said Hemanth Madhukar

After depicting a semi-independent “Aghori” in Odela 2, famous actress Tamannaah Bhatia swapped her hoarse dance number “Nasha” in the Hindi film Raid 2. Director Hemanth Madhukar calls it a “smooth and perfect transition” and praises her versatility.

“Seldom actresses can explore this type of contrast, but still leave traces, especially the female Aghori needs to be confident that she put it out and responded positively to her appearance and tow trucks,” he said.

Hemanth called Tamannaah “the feeling of dancing”, pointing out her impressive trail – from the viral hit “Kaavaala” to “Aaj ki raat” and now “Nasha”. He explained: “She is an amazing blend of talent, charisma and dance abilities. After playing the regular charisma role, she now consciously chooses more diverse and influential roles.”

Hemanth draws the comparison, highlighting how leading ladies like Anushka Shetty and Nayanthara can last for a long, successful career by balancing star-studded characters with solo projects. “Anushka has Arundhati and Bahubali, while Nayanthara plays Shah Rukh Khan’s love interest in Jawan and portrays a goddess in Mookuthi Amman,” he said. “Earlier, actresses like Vijayashanti and the late Soundarya also broke the mold with powerful performances and their commercial outings in movies like Kartavyam and Ammoru.”

He noted that while many actresses have limited screen time to express dissatisfaction with hero-centric films, few people are willing to watch movies on their own. “It takes courage and confidence to get rid of the typing of a lover or wife. Some complain about ‘four scenes and four songs’, but hesitantly sneak into the more meaty, against the stylistic role.” “But those who dare to challenge the norms are those who thrived.”
