BCCI’s medical team leader resigned for nearly three years

New Delhi: After nearly three years of recent success at the head of the sports science and medical team Nitin Patel, and a few months after his recent resignation, the BCCI Recent Inauguration Center (COE, the earlier NCA) is expected to witness some changes in its staff composition.

Although Patel was unable to comment, senior BCCI officials confirmed this development to PTI, and the NCA’s top staff was indeed “continue.”

“Yes, Nitin has served as head of the exercise science and medical team. Nitin has played an important role in the NCA’s exercise science and medical team during this tenure, especially during this term.”

The source added: “One good thing that has happened in the last few years is that whenever any injured player recovers, he only returns after more than one percent. Needin’s family lives abroad and manages Coy’s sports science and medical department is 365-yearly allocated.”

Some of the famous damage management tasks Patel handles include India’s Pace Speer Jasprit Bumrah, Senior Speedster Mohammed Shami, Senior Batsman Kl Rahul, Chief Spinner Kuldeep Yadav and others.

Sources say some Level 3 coaches and coaches, as well as some S&C coaches (Strength and Conditions) coaches may take action within a few months.

NCA chief VVS Laxman’s tenure will be completed by the end of this year and although it may require the legend to continue until the 2027 World Cup football game, he is unlikely to seek an extension.

Prior to Patel, one of NCA coaches, Sairaj Bahutule, also quit and joined the Rajasthan Royals support staff.

Sitanshu Kotak has permanently joined the senior men’s team.

Another famous NCA coach, Hrishikesh Kanitkar, cared for Indian U-19, and occasionally an Indian team is still in the COE roster, but it’s interesting whether he will hang out once Zimbabwe and Namibia’s U-19 World Cups are available.

There are some professional batting and bowling coaches who will also look for greener ranches in the coming months.
