Vinod Sehwag, brother of Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, has been granted bail by the District Court in Chandigarh, with six rebound cases totaling around Rs 7 crore.

Vinod and two others – Vishnu Mittal and Sudhir Malhotra – were charged with cheques issued by their company, M/S Xalta Food Beatages Private Limited, allegedly humiliated due to insufficient funds.
In granting bail, the court noted that Vinod Sehwag has been in custody since February 28 and that the offence is bailable. Furthermore, the court said that no further detention of him could be achieved.
It is worth noting that bail is subject to certain conditions such as -1. 2. He shall not be allowed to witness against prosecutors and 3. He must not indulge in any criminal activity.
