Technopark-based AI platform claims to foil cyber attacks during India-Pak standoff

Prophaze Technologies, a leading cybersecurity company based in the Tech Park here, claims to have successfully neutralized a series of large-scale distributed services (DDOS) attacks targeting high-value facilities in India in a recent impasse with Pakistan.
According to a statement from The Technopark, the AI-powered Web Application and API Protection (WAAP) platform deployed across key areas was designed to counter critical roles in cyber attacks designed to undermine major facilities such as airports and financial institutions.
DDOS means destroying traffic to a website or network that has a large amount of Internet traffic, such as traffic.
Between May 5 and 9, traffic reached 85 million malicious demands from the 10-hour window on May 9, multiple waves of DDOS attacks were detected from botnets distributed around the world, indicating a sharp escalation in cyber transactions targeting India’s critical infrastructure. Hacker groups such as Anonsec, Sylhet Gang (SG) and Diene have publicly claimed to try to reduce responsibility for Indian government services.
Vaisakh TR, CEO and founder Prophaze said: “Despite the scale and aggressiveness of these attacks, there is zero downtime. All systems are still operating.
This is not the first time that national infrastructure is predicted.
In April 2023, a massive DDOS attack neutralized six major Indian airports and hospitals through Prophaze’s Smart Layer 7 mitigation system, minimizing damage and recovery operations.
The hacker group anonymously targeted the websites of major airports and hospitals, trying to cause DDOs in these institutions.
According to Lakshmi Das, chief operating officer and co-founder of Prophaze, the recent attacks are more intense than the 2023 campaign by Anonymous Sudan.
“We have implemented an active defense that leverages the industry’s deployment, which gives us a strategic advantage of responding immediately and effectively,” Ms. Darth said. In the latest attacks, geofencing, IP analysis and behavioral analysis enable startups to isolate and neutralize the latest threats to record time.
It said the platform stopped the attack within hours by determining the repeated fingerprint patterns of botnets distributed around the world and applying custom WAF rules using real-time anomaly detection.
Although some regional peaks have been observed across India, critical operations remain uninterrupted, especially at high-value digital entry points.
Founded in 2019, Prephaze started its own journey by Kerala startup Mission (KSUM), which ensures cloud-based HR solutions provided by Bank of America third-party vendors to meet stringent compliance requirements.
Multiple sclerosis. “Prophaze is the world’s first cybersecurity product company to ship Kubernetes-based Web Application Firewall (WAF) to enterprises to deal with real-world security threats. We continue to push the boundaries at Gartner’s 2025 Gartner Market for Haap and earlier in 2024, in 2024, API Protection for Api Protection and Alt and for Api Protection, which we continue to push boundaries. The company also has strategic partnerships with leading global technology players including Keltron, Deloitte and Intel.
“Our goal is to be India’s first cybersecurity unicorn. Our mission is to build globally competitive, AI-powered security systems based on trust and precision,” she said.
The startup has more than 100 customers worldwide and has global operations in the United States, Australia, West Asia and beyond, the statement said.
