Telangana Bhavan of New Delhi receives 30 distress calls from J&K, Punjab

After the rising tensions between India and Pakistan, the Telangana government established a 24/7 control room to provide assistance to the state’s people, announcing that eight people coming in from Jamu & Kashmir arrived at Telangana Bhavan, New Delhi.

Arrangements are being made to help them return to their respective homelands in Telangana. Eight people went there for business, research and other purposes.

In addition, people in J&K and Punjab received about 30 distress calls. Most of the calls are from students.

In view of the general situation on international borders, the state government asked people to dial phone numbers on Telangana Bhavan on Friday (May 9, 2025) with landline numbers: 011-23380556, 98719999044, 9971387500, 9971387500, 9643723157, 9999157, 999949351270.2.

Telangana Bhawan has also been continuously coordinating with the Indian government and has received the latest updates and instructions on ground conditions and security protocols. Close liaison is being maintained with regional management departments in border areas from where calls in distress are received. Support the coordinated relocation of Telangana residents with regional authorities to safer areas, according to a press release issued on Saturday (10, May 10, 2025).
