Trump administration expels hundreds despite court orders to stop dismissal | World News

The Trump administration continues to deport hundreds of immigrants to El Salvador after federal judges temporarily halted deportation. Officials confirmed on Sunday that the judge’s ruling cited an 18th-century wartime declaration against members of the Venezuelan gang, whose ruling had appeared on flights carrying immigrants.

On Saturday, U.S. District Judge James E. The order was not included in his written order, and the plane continued to fly despite Boasberg’s verbally ordering the plane to turn back.

In court filings filed Sunday, the Justice Department filed a ruling on appeal, noting that when the written order was issued at 7:26 PM, the immigrants “have been evacuated from U.S. territory.”

Trump’s allies are happy with the result.

El Salvador President Nayib Bukele commented on “oopsie… it’s too late” on social media platform X, with the article about the Boasberg ruling. Bucker agreed to accommodate about 300 immigrants for $6 million in a prison in El Salvador and was circulated by White House Communications Director Steven Cheung.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who had an early deal with House immigration with Bukele, said: “We sent more than 250 foreign enemy members from El Salvador, who agreed to go to jail at fair prices, which would also save our taxpayer dollars.”
