Telangana completes Devadula project: Uttam Kumar

Warangal: Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said Tuesday that the state government is committed to completing the Devadula project and ensuring water supply to Janagaon and Palakurthi constituencies.

The minister spoke with the district chief, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, after launching the pump room motor, as part of the 3rd phase of the project, the Devannapet suburb of Dharmasagar Mandal, Hanamkonda district.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said: “We are completing the Devadula project.

The minister said stressing the urgency of solving the situation of dry crops, the minister’s activation would provide water for 50,000 to 60,000 acres of land.

He said pressure was established on the project organization and tasks were completed in a timely manner. He added: “We are taking steps to assist farmers in the United District of Valangar.”

The Minister also provided the latest news on the current progress of the pump system. He said: “One of them is in the final stage of work and we plan to activate it tonight.

He said water will also be provided in Parkal, Bhupalpally and former Warangal districts in the Parkal and Wardhannapet constituencies.

However, due to some technical issues, the pump cannot be turned on immediately. “Despite technical difficulties, we will continue to turn on the pumps, no matter how long we can continue to move forward in Warangal,” the minister said.
