Telangana DME prohibits visiting medical staff in the case of “war situation”

In response to the emerging “state of war,” Dr.A. Narendra Kumar, Director of Medical Education at Telangana (DME) has issued a directive that prohibits all forms of holidays for medical personnel working in institutions within their jurisdiction. The circular was issued on Thursday (May 8, 2025)All directors, principals and directors of government medical institutions across the state.
The Directive is marked as a memorable instruction and requires no approval of any holiday until further notice. In addition, hospital authorities have been directed to ensure adequate inventory of essential medicine lists (EML) and other medicine lists (EML) and other medicine lists (AML) provided by Telangana State Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation (TGMSIDC).
The hospital is also required to submit any other drug requests to the DME office quickly.
