Telangana police QR feedback failed due to poor popularity and awareness

Hyderabad: The QR code-based novel feedback system launched by the police four months ago failed to achieve results due to the lack of awareness of complainants visiting the police station. The system was launched in January by DGP Jitender. Based on feedback, the police department is expected to transform itself into a human-friendly organization and reform when accepting complaints and handling these issues.

In many police stations, stickers with QR codes are pasted in remote corners, mostly invisible complainants. In some cases, people don’t know how to use a feedback system.

At the Balanagar Police Station, QR code stickers are pasted at the entrance of the police station and reception. However, when visitors try to understand the details, police officers pretend to be ignorant of the purpose of the QR code.

At the Bowenpally Police Department, Constable B. Rambabu said they have pasted stickers inside the police station and asked people for feedback on a regular basis. However, the posters pasted inside the police station are barely visible to visitors.

Police Officer (SP) officials in the CID are handling feedback received from the police station. Ramagundam has been revealed to have gained the highest attention in feedback related to problems that occurred in the police station. Responded on the name of the Tri-Police Specialist from the visitor.

Among those who could have used the system, there are women complainants who have struggled to register a case. In Attapur, Cybrabad, a woman contacted senior officials after station staff failed to resolve her problems. Later, the case followed the instructions of senior officials.

A woman approached Bolaram police and experienced a painful experience after police asked her to solve the problem. Later, she wrote to senior police officers and registered the case.
