Telangana provides support to citizens stranded in border areas

Hyderabad: In view of the general situation in the border areas, the Telangana government has taken swift and comprehensive measures to help citizens of Telangana who are currently in trouble or return from affected areas.
Telangana Bhawan, New Delhi, has become the Node Coordination and Relief Centre under the direction of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. Telangana Bhawan has taken a series of measures, including the establishment of a dedicated 24×7 control room that is fully capable of receiving distress calls and coordinating rescue and support efforts.
So far, about 30 distress calls have been received. Other measures include free food provided to all Telangana citizens, and in addition to the free accommodation facilities arranged in Telangana Bhawan, accommodation can be arranged anywhere necessary.
A medical camp was established in Telangana Bhawan to provide immediate health checks and care. Transportation assistance is provided from Telangana Bhawan to the airport and the railway station for safe travel.
Close liaison is being maintained with regional management departments in border areas from where calls in distress are received. Support is being expanded to help Telangana residents coordinate with regional authorities to safer areas.
Telangana Bhawan also has been continuously coordinating with the central government and has received the latest updates and notes on ground conditions and safety protocols. So far, eight people from Jamu and Kashmir have arrived in Telangana Bhawan safely and are under surveillance. Arrangements are underway to ensure they return to their respective homelands in Telangana.
