Telangana Weather: Heat Waves and Warm Night Alerts as Nine Areas record over 44°C

As the temperature showed no sign of immersion, Telangana continued to roll up under intense heat. According to the Telangana National Development Program Association (TGDPS), the highest temperatures in nine regions of the state were 44°C or higher on Tuesday (April 22, 2025).
Maximum temperature
It is reported that Dasturabad, Nirmal area, has been exposed to mercury at 44.5°C. Following closely behind are Mavala in Adilabad and Mendora in Nizamabad, both at 44.4°C. Bheemaram in Mahadevpur (Jayashankar bhupalpally) recorded a maximum of 44.3°C, followed by 44.2°C. Dharmapuri (Jagtial), Bejjur (Kumuram Bheem Asifabad) and Antergoan (Peddapalli) recorded 44.1°C, while Karimnagar’s Gangadhara hit rate was 44°C.
Between 41°C and 44°C in the remaining 24 segments
In the remaining 24 areas, the temperature is between 41°C and 44°C. The urban areas were not spared, either, with Ghatkesar at Medchal Malkajgiri hitting 41.7°C and Amberpet at Hyderabad recording 41.6°C.
Heat waves and warm night alarms
In the sultry conditions, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heat waves and warm night alarms for several areas. Expected in the isolated pocket of Adirabad, on Thursday (24 April 2025), heat waves and warm night conditions; Kumuram Bheem Asifabad; artificial Nirmal; Nizamabad; jagtial; Medak; Kamareddy and Mahabubnagar.
In parts of Rajanna Sircilla alone, heatwave conditions alone may exist. Karimnagar; peddapalli; Jayashankar Bhupalpalpall and Mulugu. Meanwhile, warm nights in areas such as Bhadradri Kothagudem are expected; Kaman; Nargonda; Suryapet; Mahabubabad; warangal; Hanamkonda and Hyderabad are expected.
