Telugu film industry unites in candlelight rally to condemn Kashmir terrorist attacks

The latest terrorist attacks in Kashmir shocked and mourned the country. The brutal attacks were carried out by Pakistan-backed militants, targeting innocent civilians and sparking widespread outrage in India. In a poignant show of solidarity, the Telugu Film Chamber, as well as all 24 artifacts in the industry, organized a candlelight rally to commemorate the lives lost in the tragedy.
Senior actor, former MP and former MAA President Muralli Mohan expressed deep sorrow over the incident. He condemned the attack as both tragic and unacceptable, stressing that violence has no status in peaceful countries like India. He noted how this internal disturbance prevents tourism, despite India being home to world-renowned destinations. Murali Mohan called for national unity and urged citizens to stand together to support the authorities fighting terrorism.
Prasanna Kumar, secretary of the Telugu Film Producers Committee (TFPC), also strongly condemned the attack. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for prioritizing the fight against terrorism and even canceled his scheduled participation. He also thanks Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for their quick and supportive responses.
Vallabhaneni Anil Kumar, president of the Telugu Film Workers Federation, responded to these views and expressed his sincere condolences to the victims’ families. He reiterated the industry’s commitment to those who support those affected and stressed the need for awareness and preventive measures. He also thanked the central and state leaders for their quick actions.
MAA Vice Vice President Maddala Ravi joined others in condemning the attack and expressed sympathy to the families of the 26 victims. He urged India’s 1.4 billion citizens to stand among officials who have been rooted in terrorism, and stressed that the Telugu Film Brotherhood united in this national cause.
