Temperatures in Telangana continue to rise after recent rains

After a brief heavy rain earlier this week, temperatures were once again at the rise in Hyderabad and several other parts of Telangana.

According to data released by the Telangana National Development Planning Association (TSDP), the highest temperatures exceed 40°C in seven of the 33 regions in the state.

Nizamabad, Jagtial, Adilabad and Kumaram Bheem Asifabad reported the highest temperatures at 40.2°C, followed by Mancherial, Bhadradri Kothagudem and Karimnagar, recording 40.1°C. The remaining 26 regions reported daytime temperatures between 38°C and 40°C. Meanwhile, Hyderabad records are up to 38.5°C.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that temperatures will rise further in the next few days. According to the latest announcement, the maximum temperature is expected to gradually increase by 2°C to 3°C over the next three days. For Hyderabad and surrounding areas, IMD predicted some cloudy skies in the morning over the next 48 hours. The temperature during the day may hover around 38°C, while the lowest temperature is expected to be around 26°C.
