Ten regions get new regional health services coordinators

Following last week’s meeting, Minister of Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Y. Satya Kumar Yadav expressed concerns about poor performance by the Health Service Coordinator (DCHSS) in a few districts, with Secondary School Health A. Siri A. Siri A. Siri appointed new DCHSS in 10 districts.

The new DCHS has been appointed in the Alluri Sitaramaraju, Dr. Br Ambedkar Konaseema, West Godavari, NTR, Bapatla, Palnadu, Tirupati, Nandyal, Nandyal, Sri Satya Sai and Annamayya areas.

At the meeting on May 13, the minister identified gaps in the performance of secondary hospitals in these areas and stressed the need for improvement.

According to the official notes issued by the department on May 16, these areas did not show the improvements needed by secondary school hospitals despite conventional inputs and recommendations.

DCHSS oversees the operations of Community Health Centers (CHC), Regional Hospitals (AH) and Regional Hospitals (DH) and they are expected to ensure effective delivery of health care to people. They must also ensure that all goals are met, that is, regarding agency delivery, reducing caesarean sections, full utilization of diagnostic equipment, surgery, and increasing registration of health interventions by NTR Vaidya Seva Seva et al.

There are 243 secondary hospitals in 26 districts in Andhra Pradesh.
