Tensions in India – Pakistan, fake consultation surface online

The Indian government has taken a series of strict measures against Pakistan following the Pahalgam incident.
India will conduct civil defense simulation exercises in several states on May 7. The exercise is being directed by the Ministry of Home Affairs Directive (MHA) as part of a strengthening security measures following the April 22 terrorist attacks in Jamu and Pahalgam in Kashmir, where 26 solid-free civilians (mostly tourists) were killed. Since then, tensions have been intensifying between India and Pakistan.
Now, a consultation is being shared online claiming that the coalition government has urged individuals to take precautions and prepare items at home. “In view of the ongoing tensions on the border, we urge everyone to remain calm, be alert and take the following precautions to ensure you are safe and prepared,” the message read. It also urged people to prepare essential items at home, including Rs 50,000 in cash, a fully fueled vehicle and medication for at least two months.
