Terrorists’ hiding places were destroyed in Jamu and Kashmir’s poonch; huge weapon caches caught

Officials said security forces destroyed a major terror hideout in the remote forest areas of Jamu and Kashmir’s Pornchi area on Sunday, resulting in the recovery of large quantities of weapons and explosives.

Officials said that during the one-day operation, Rashtriya rifles and special operations teams unearthed hiding places during a joint operation between the Rashtriya rifles and special operations teams in Sarabara.

They say three AK assault rifles, 23 magazines, 922 rounds, 7 grenades, four improvisational explosive devices (IEDs), 1 phenotype timer mechanism, 19 detonators, three meters of cortex, 1 meter, a four-inch cylinder, 1 battle dome, 10 cm of safety enrichment and 200 grams of sea water[[
Officials said experts from the bomb disposal squad destroyed IEDs, grenades, detonators, timing equipment, cortex and safety fuzes on the spot.

But no one was arrested during the operation, officials said.
