TGFDC tagged with Grand Fest for 10 years

Hyderabad: Telangana Forest Development Corporation (TGFDC) began its 10-day grand celebration on May 5, marking its decade-long journey to promote sustainable forest development and ecotourism. The event, named “Decade Festival”, began with the Botanical Gardens in Hyderabad.
TGFDC's Deputy CMD Dr. G. Chandrashekar Reddy launched the celebration. In this speech, he stressed that the TGFDC has achieved significant achievements under his leadership and transformed into a strong and influential public sector organization. “Communities involved in forest conservation are key to creating a greener Telangana,” he said. “Our focus has been on sustainable growth that benefits nature and people.”
The 10-day music festival features a series of programs across the state. Highlights include Ecological Stumbling, Bamboo and Eucalyptus Market, an Ecotourism Day, Sandalwood Symposium and Workshops on Forest and Snake Safety. The celebration aims to raise awareness of renewable energy, community programs, forest-based industries and biodiversity conservation, and is dedicated to different aspects of TGFDC's work every day.
The grand closing ceremony held at the Botanical Garden on May 14 will respect the outstanding contributions of TGFDC officials and staff to the company's mission. The event will include awards and recognition from those who demonstrate outstanding dedication and performance.
The opening ceremony was attended by several senior officials, including Executive Director (Ecotourism) L. Ranjith Nayak; D. Venkateshwar Reddy, CGM, G. Dr. Skylab, GM, Kiran Kumar, Financial Controller; V. Thanuja, Assistant Director (Ecotourism); V. Lakshma Reddy, Plantation Manager; Srinivas, Fro, Suman, Project Manager and Naturalist Akhil, Aparanjani and Samson Raju.
