Thalapathy Vijay fans break silence after actor's security pointes gun at him

The shocking incident occurred at Madurai Airport when an elderly fan bypassed Thalapathy Vijay's safety and tried to meet him. The Tamil superstar is currently filming for Jana Nayagan, his last film before he was in politics full-time.

Thalapathy Vijay's safety point towards his fan

Tamil superstar Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar (lovely known as Thalapathy Vijay) returned from Kodaikanal to Madurai after filming his last film before full-time politics, Jana Nayagan, when shocking events took place. When an elderly fan tried to violate his safety and met the star, one of Vijay's security guards drew their guns and pointed at the excited fans. Videos of the incident have now become a hit on social media.

In the clip, the Leo actor was seen taking a black car to the airport with a convoy. As he walked out of the vehicle, his security officers covered him as they saw a group of people gathered there and caught a glimpse of the star. As Vijay heads to the airport entrance, an old man appears from behind and tries to run towards the actor. The actor's security guard immediately stopped him, who pointed the gun at him, thinking he was a potential threat. The Messal actor didn't realize what was going on behind him and headed towards the main gate.

Now, according to The Times, when the media asked older fans about the incident, he said: “The gun was to protect Thalapathy Vijay, but even if I was shot at that time, I would be happy to take it for my thalapathy.”

Meanwhile, in addition to Vijay, Jana Nayagan also plays Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani, Narain, Mamitha Baiju and Prakash Raj, and takes the leading roles. The music directed by H. Vinoth, the political action thriller written by Anirudh Ravichander is scheduled to be released with the Pongal Festival on January 9, 2026.

In February 2024, Vijay launched his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, and announced that Thalapathy 69 would be his last movie. Part of his statement reads: “Politics is not a hobby. It is my deepest desire. I want to completely engage myself. So I will finish a film that I am committed to and become a mature politician. That's how I pay my debts to the people of Tamil Nadu.”
