Chairman and 16 membersTh The Finance Committee appreciates the WhatsApp Governance Initiative of the Andhra Pradesh Government. 16Th The Finance Committee team visited the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat in Velagapudi on Wednesday.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu explained to the delegation the model of WhatsApp governance. He stressed that the government is working towards a system where citizens can access public services through WhatsApp, thus eliminating the need to visit offices.

“The goal is to provide up to 1,000 services through WhatsApp,” Mr Naidu said.

Arvind Panagariya, Chairman of the Finance Committee, pointed out that it was impressive that the Chief Minister gave a detailed introduction to financial affairs and the depth of the efforts regarding growth indicators and the seeking of central assistance.

Mr Panagariya asked Mr Naidu if this innovative model had attracted the attention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Mr Naidu replied that he plans to explain the project during his meeting with the Prime Minister next month.

Finance Committee member Anne George Mathew recalls her visit to Hyderabad 30 years ago and has observed extraordinary developments in the city since then, thanks to Mr Naidu’s vision.

She expressed confidence in Amaravati’s confidence, developing by similar standards.

Mr Naidu recalled how Mr Panagariya suggested the transfer of the Polavaram project to Niti Aayog. “Our goal is to complete the Polavaram project before the upcoming Pushkarans,” Mr Naidu said.

Mr. Naidu praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his leadership, under which India is developing into a developed country. “From mocking about slow growth, India is now the fifth largest economy and will be the third largest by 2028. By 2047, we will be the largest economy in the world.”
