The Financial Times reported last Friday that NVIDIA plans to set up a R&D center in Shanghai as Washington threatens the entry and exit restrictions imposed by sales in major Chinese markets.

Reuters reported earlier this month that NVIDIA plans to release a downgraded version of China’s H20 chips in the next two months as it tries to support sales in the country, losing market share of domestic competitors such as Huawei. It means that previous AI export regulations were wrong and should focus on global maximization of US technology.
