The Union Secretary for Rural Development and Communications Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar praised the generosity and service of philanthropist Sudanagunta Raghavendra Prasad and his wife Kalyani Prasad for their community. At a Fierset event in the JKC College Auditorium in Guntur on Monday, the minister praised Dr. Prasad’s inspiring life – from a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy to teaching in Houston.
Dr Prasad said the couple recently donated Rs 4 crore to the Guntur Impact Foundation to build nine community halls throughout the Guntur Parliamentary Constituency. They also recently donated Rs 1 million to a cancer hospital. This time the minister said the state government has been wisely spending their donations to build community halls and other projects. Several local leaders participated in the program.
