Indian and Pakistani troops held a first-level commander-level flag meeting along the Line of Control (LOC) in the Poonch District of Jamu and Kashmir on Thursday (10 April 2025) to discuss issues related to border management.
This is the second such meeting between the two sides this month.
Officials said the meeting was held at the intersection of Chakan-da-bagh, led by Brigadier General-level officers on both sides.
A defense spokesman said: “Based on the understanding between the DGMO parties, the flag meeting is a conventional LOC and border management process.”
He said a meeting was held on Thursday (April 10) to discuss conventional issues along the LOC.
Official sources said Indian Army officials also raised infiltration attempts, breach of ceasefires, and filed explosions with their peers and protested with them.

On April 2, a commander-level flag meeting lasted for 75 minutes in the Chakan-da-bagh Crossing Point area, both sides emphasized the need for peace along the border.
A defense spokesman said on Wednesday (April 9) that on April 1, Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire by resorting to unprovoked shooting, a mine violated the ceasefire after it exploded along the Poonch area in Jamu and Kashmir.
Security officials said on February 13, Pakistani troops resorted to Indian outposts in the Poonch district of Jamu and Kashmir, violating the ceasefire.

Pakistan’s ceasefire violation in the Krishna Ghati department came the day after two Indian Army personnel, including the captain, were killed in an explosion of explosive devices (IED) triggered by terrorists near February 11.
Since India and Pakistan renewed the Ceasefire Agreement on February 25, 2021, there have been few ceasefire violations by LOC.
