Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Telugu Church Federation collaborated with various Christian organizations in Vijayawada to hold a “Peaceful Campaign for Jesus”. Thousands of people participated in devotion and unity to commemorate the resurrection of Christ.
Bishops T Joseph Raja Rao (Catholic Diocese) and T George Cornelius (Krishna-Godavari CSI Diocese) said that the assembly spreads the message of peace from the resurrected Christ. The event was marked by Bishop Raja Rao, Muvvala Prasad, CSI Bishop Cornelius, Pastor Salluri Jayakumar Babu and Rev Pastor Alluri Vishwaprasad near St. Paul’s Cathedral in Benz Circle.
They highlighted the growth of gatherings, from 30 locations in 2011 to 600 centers in Telugu states, all in Christian unity. With the attack on Christians, the bishop urged believers to remain united.
The rally crosses the main city roads and ends at St. Paul’s Cathedral near the State Hotel.
