Mulugu has set up a cooling center, and the water point must defeat the heat

Warangal: In response to extreme heat waves, regional collector TS Diwakar launched a series of initiatives to provide relief to public and wildlife throughout the Mulugu area.

Under his guidance, 360 sinks have been installed in various parts of the area to ensure drinking water for animals, birds and monkeys. These tanks are made of plastic bathtubs and other containers designed to support wildlife under intense summer conditions.

To protect residents, especially vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly and residents with health problems, the regional government has established 210 cooling centers. These centers are set in the main location of each gram panchayat, providing shelter and drinking water, helping to prevent dehydration and heat-related illnesses.

Dev Raj, a Panchayat official in charge of the efforts, said the measures were part of a comprehensive strategy to mitigate the impact of severe heat waves on humans and animals. Authorities are urging the public to make the most of these facilities and stay hydrated during peak hours.
